On The Line

On The Line is an original short documentary series conceived and filmed over the summer of 2020. It centers on eight small businesses located on Tokyo’s Chuo Line, one of the busiest train lines in the world. The series reveals the untold stories behind these businesses, the risks these people took in order to follow their passions, and the resilience they have demonstrated in the face of incredible difficulties. Each episode has its own unique style to reflect the owners and their stories.

With planned regular updates, I will continue to share the stories of these local entrepreneurs into the future.
